Erectile Dysfunction
ED is defined as the inability to get and keep an erection long enough for sexual intercourse. Men who are dealing with the problem of ED should know they are not alone and more than 50 percent of men over the age of 40 experience some amount of erectile dysfunction. The prevalence of erectile dysfunction increases with age as about 80 percent of people in their 80s have ED.
Many of these patients have mild to moderate ED. About 10% of people with ED have severe erectile dysfunction, which means that they are not able to attain and maintain an erection at all. 1 out of 10 men in India have ED, and that’s a pretty high number of causes for something people don’t talk about much. But, today patients are willing to visit a doctor and talk about their problems. Many of the patients with erectile dysfunction are encourag to visit a doctor by their partner. Patients should tell their doctors, all the things they are going through and other health conditions as ED can be a sign of something worse, including cardiovascular disease.
Know You Have Options for Erectile Dysfunction
Before there were only a few options for treating erectile dysfunction, but today you can visit a psychological counselor for emotional issues and even urologists for surgical options.
Today, you can find several effective cures for ED. If one treatment doesn’t work, another might, but must be willing to talk to your doctor about your options.
ED Medication: These work very well for most patients but it comes with side effects. You must consult a doctor before taking any ED medications like Cenforce 200, Fildena 100, Vilitra 40, Suhagra, or Kamagra.
Hormonal treatment: Low testosterone levels can sometimes prevent ED medication from working. Sometimes hormone therapy can help make the pills work.
Injection therapy: It’s not as simple as taking a pill, but works very well for many patients.
Penile implants: For patients who have not found success with other treatments, there is still one treatment option known as penile implants. These devices require a surgical procedure in which a device is placed inside the penis.
